Cadmium Thioarsenates

Cadmium Orthothioarsenate, Cd₃(AsS₄)₂, is obtained as a pale yellow precipitate when a solution of a cadmium salt is treated with sodium orthothioarsenate or with a solution of ammonium hydrosulphide saturated with arsenious sulphide. The addition of sodium pyrothioarsenate to a solution of a cadmium salt yields a yellow precipitate of cadmium pyrothioarsenate, Cd₂As₂S₇.
