Arsenic Imide, As₂(NH)₃

Arsenic Imide, As₂(NH)₃, is obtained by heating to 60° C. the amide described below. It is a pale yellow amorphous powder, stable in air up to 100° C., but above that temperature it decomposes forming the nitride. It is slowly decomposed by water into arsenious oxide and ammonia.
